Joq & Zoomy is the pseudonymous, collaborative project of two LA-based producers. They are preparing the release of their debut, a 60-minute loop entitled "Hold Me Up to the Light", a project which addresses questions emerging from their experience as pop music ghost-producers. The loop examines contemporary forces in music (digitization, streaming, repetition, consumption, the flattening of music by removing time as a dimension), as well as socio-political themes (order and chaos, power and violence, automation).
